MBFWA: Alex Perry
To say yesterday’s Alex Perry show was a departure from his recent collections would be an understatement. The hemlines were much, much shorter and the range was decidedly younger with fun, flirty dresses in luxe brocades and silks, all accessorised with lace-up thigh-high heels (buy them made to order from Tony Bianco). The Spring/Summer collection wasn’t a total departure from Perry’s signature style and there were the requisite gowns for his regular clientele, but even these were parred back and extremely minimal
Could this be a new direction for AP? If it’s going to be as delicious as this, I hope so.
